Our New Pastor

Dear Friends at St. Margaret of York Parish:

I know that you have been waiting for news about what will be happening at our parish now that Fr. Chris has been assigned to a new ‘family’ of parishes.

I am thrilled to tell you that I have been appointed as your pastor here at SMOY! Archbishop Schnurr has sent me a letter that officially assigns me here for the next six years, with the possibility of renewal after that time.

I hope you know that I couldn’t be happier about this. My experience here in the last ten months has been wonderful, and you have been so welcoming and caring about your new priest!

As to who else will be here with us? I don’t know at this point. The plan is that we will have two other priests as part of the St. Margaret/St. Columban family. My hope is that we will have a newly ordained priest whose first assignment will be with you amazing people. I should find out later in the month who is coming here.
