As you know I was struggling with my assignment at St. Margaret of York and St. Columban back in the fall. Some of those struggles were caused by the difficulties of being pastor of 2 large diverse parishes. Some of those struggles came from being “out of whack:” physically, psychologically and spiritually. I am grateful to the Archdiocese for giving me this time to get back “in whack”. I am also grateful for the Loveland Catholic Community who has been so supportive with their cards, letters and prayerful support these last few months. I am feeling more like myself again and look forward to getting back to Ohio sometime in May.
Because I want to continue on the road to recovery, I have asked the Archdiocese to be named a parochial vicar somewhere in the Archdiocese - as opposed to a pastor for now. I have been assigned to St. Veronica, St. Andrew and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Of course, this change will mean a move away from St. Margaret of York and St. Columban. I am grateful for my brief time at these parishes. As we all face an uncertain future, please know that you will be in my prayers. Please keep me in yours.
Fr. Chris
